I use SkyQ...do i need a house aerial to get free terrestrial channels???

In the house we are buying, the TV ariel socket is on the opposite wall to where the large smart TV is fitted on the wall, and it is laminate flooring too..so no carpet to hide a coax cable under, so I want to know if we will still get the normal free live terrestrial TV channels (BBC, itv etc) WITHOUT the house aerial being plugged in...will we get all those normal live channels through our SkyQ subscription & Sky dish???

Cheers, Mark

hi @MontyCrookes

I haven't done a full channel check but,  yes, SKy Q has the main channels that Terrestrial TV has, althouh there may possibly be a couple or more minor channels that aren't on

Many customers with SKY do not use their TV's Freeview tuner / aerial

You can see the Free channels available  via Satellite on this link:

https://www.freesat.co.uk/channels

BTW some  Freeview channels are also availble in HD via Satellite - although some of these need the HD add on to view
