'received sky box' rather than having it installed probably suggests Sky Stream rather than Sky Q.

If you're a brand new customer to Sky Q (the board on which you've posted) an engineer installs the dish and brings the Sky Q box with them and sets it up for you. Which Sky TV platform have you subscribed to?
