I know it's  stupid I'm in the same situation been with them for 17 yrs

only get stupid vip rewards !!

would prefer money off bill

My mums got sky glass and in my opinion it's hard to navigate .

I personally don't like it nor does she but I ,too am looking to reduce my bill .

I've tried searching things i have watched on q on mums glass and cannot find them !
Although I think there's been some update on q as  content is harder to find and I  think it's now on apps like bbc i player and it x (which is terrible to load and navigate )
I'm paying £70 for Sky q , HD, Multi room,ultimate on demand !!

not even broard band

sorry if I've not helped much !

I don't know if you have looked at the Sky Glass/Streaming discussion as you can get a good idea of the pros and cons of swapping.  For me one of the major reasons I won't swap at the moment is I love live sport, and as it's a streaming service there is no record facility so if you can't see a live match or are more than 10 minutes late watching it there is no way to watch from the start and it may not appear on the schedule to watch until the next day or so.

Sorry for the double post.

When your offers expire, the bill rises. Ask for recontract and call the value department in order to speak about reducing your bill.

Some of the VIP rewards are good. Like recontract tv or broadband for 18inths with 5 pounds off. 2 recontracts is 10 pounds off.

There are a few good deals around.

I signed up to a £42 a month for 18 months Gigafast broadband through an email offer last month and it also knocked £10 a month off my TV bill until November which I wasn't expecting.

I didn't really need Gigafast but I  was already paying £40 a month for Ultrafast Plus so an extra £2 wasn't going to break the bank but the extra discount was a bonus. 😀

If you are out of contract on Sky Q ring them up and ask to cancel. They'll offer you a deal on a new contract to stay with Sky. If it's still not cheap enough then continue to cancel. You will then be placed in the 31 day notice period during which your Sky Q service will continue as normal. Towards the end of this 31 day period you will likely be contacted by Sky with a better offer to stay. If they don't contact you then you can ring them and ask to speak to retentions. With a little bit of negotiation you can often end up with a deal which is better than you were paying on your previous deal.

If you are not confident on the phone then you can ask to cancel via the Messenger facility at the bottom of this page once you click on 'I still need help':

The current new customer price for that would be £56, so that's a good place to start negotiation.

Ultimate TV £28

Multiscreen £15

HD £9

I too was in the same boat a few months ago with the same package. I was looking at all of the alternatives. Then I called Sky to cancel and they first said "Boy, you've been a Sky customer a long time". Then they offered me a new contract (why I had to call to cancel to get a proper deal I don't know. Seeing how I've been a loyal customers all of these years.).  I now pay just a bit over £40/month. So, as others are saying, call Sky to cancel and I bet you'll get a deal similar to mine.

Thanks for all the advise

My partner works for openreach so get free broard band but in a way it makes it more expensive as lots of deals include this .Plus we did get Bt  tv too but never used it execpt on a tv in bedroom and don't uses it as have no tv anymore( not even sure if we still get it.)

Will have to do something as I'm not willing to pay £70 just because I don't like change !
Always just stuck with what we are used too .

But most of all fed up with not being rewarded for years of custom !
