My Sky Q box is old and very big and bulky in my new (very small) living room, I also lost my multi-room box whilst moving home. Is there somewhere online I can buy new ones?

No.
All Q equipment belongs to Sky.
If you have lost items then you'll be charged for non-return when you cancel your sub.
...or if you want replacements.

That Q box is going to need to be somewhere, connected to the satellite cables, for a mini to work anyway.

All main Q boxes are about the same size, and as @Chodley indicated above, having one on the end of the dish feed cables is a requirement for a Mini box to function (although the main box doesn't necessarily have to be attached to a television set)
The small standalone box would be Sky Stream (which doesn't use a dish) but be aware that's a rather different product.
