Presumably it's not Sky Q compatible. I don't think Sky will now offer a subscription on Sky+ HD hardware even in those circumstances.

I knew about sky glass and the puck options but you can't record or download with those I was told. I was hoping for a different solution that would allow it but guess I will have to stream. Shame but thanks

Who told you this, was it Sky or the landlord's agent.
Because, if an old communal Legacy Universal LNB multiswitch is being used to provide the Integrated Reception System installation and the Modulation Error Ratio (MER) quality of each satellite transponder signal meets the Sky Q requirement for it to achieve a measured value of at least 11dB, with the permission of your landlord it should be possible for a Sky Multiple Development Unit (MDU) trained engineer to install a Unitron dCSS-422 Sky Q Plug-In adaptor in order to supply your flat with a Single Cable Router (SCR) feed suitable for a Sky Q receiver.

Hi Godfrey
thanks for the info, I know that sky we're paying to assist the dish upgrades but they pulled out part way through and my housing association won't pay to complete them all. They tried putting the unit on you described but it affected some people's signal so my association barred them doing it. So annoying lol
