The most important thing you need to take from this is the dish is yours, whether you originally had it installed or not, and Sky are under no obligation to remove it free or otherwise.

leaving it in place is not an option, it is very ugly and my neighbours keep complaining.

Did the neighbours complain to the previous occupants when they had a working Sky set up? Seems a bizarre thing to complain about.

Re: I'm disabled and need my dish removed by sky

my question was how do i talk to someone at Sky. noone has answered this but i have been contacted by Sky now.

no need to post any more replies about how I should do this myself and how awesome sky are.  if someone can tell me how to delete my post or stop getting replies that would actually help

Ahh yes,, the old I don't agree with your answer therefore you must work for Sky line.

PS Sky Empoyees in the forum are clearly identified by a big blue banner saying Sky Employee

As the forum has given you the relevant advise there is nothing else we can do.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Perhaps if you ask your neighbours nicely they will take it down for you free of charge.

It's terrible! You pay enough for sky over the years but they want to charge you if you don't return the sky box equipment but won't come & take their eye soar dish from the outside house. Funny that ends up belonging to us but the box inside the house don't.

Really Bad Customer service sky!! No wonder people leave

@Rachel+Houselande

You'll have to get a local handyman to take it down if you want it removed if you can't do it yourself. It is your property as you rightly point out.

When you read and agreed the contract you would have noticed the following:

"The Sky dish is not loaned to you and becomes your property to keep on installation."

"Sky Q boxes are loaned equipment supplied to you at no cost and remain the property of Sky (or another Sky group company) at all times."

Not funny at all.

This funny as you at for no cost, we pay enough for the poor service & more than pay for that equipment to be made ours too.

Re: I'm disabled and need my dish removed by sky

Sky don't own the dish either yiu or the landord does, if you want it taken down and recycled then its uo to you to do it dobyiu expect the landord / estate agent to take away bricks that uou nolonger wish to have now you've moved in.  The dish my well ahve never had anythinv to do with sky let alone been their property.  You brought the property as is, if you wanted any adjustmnets then that was down to you to arrange before or after moving in.   Its just four bolts easily done any household waste site will ahppily except it or local scrap man or or could sell it for a couple of quid if your that bothered.

Dont blame companies or other for your lack of planning and your dislike for something your purchased / rent. 🤦‍♂️

@Rachel+Houselande No you don't, you pay for access to the content supplied via the Sky platform and not for the purchase of equipment.

I don't know of any provider who doesn't use the loaned equipment model, if you want equipment to keep then either buy a freeview or feesat box.

Possibly but the contract clearly says otherwise.  If you don't like the contract, don't agree to it.
