I have switched on my Sky Q box and TV but the TV states "connecting to your sky q box" continuosly

I have switched on my Sky Q box and TV but the box does not connect to the TV. The HDMI cable is firmly plugged into both Box and TV. I have put new batteries into the Sky Q remote. I have tried various suggested solutions, including switching off the Sky Q plus button for 5 seconds, but to no avail.

The problem has been fixed after I contacted Sky Customer Service. The Operative I could not fault. He guided me through the menus and fixed the problem. I suggest if you ever have a problem with Sky contact Customer Service and hope you get someone who is as good as the Guy who fixed my problem.

Hi @twizzle1 Place your tV on standby, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot.

I done what you said and my 2nd sky +HD box started working fine. 5 minutes later the original problem returned. I will give it another go tomorrow morning. Thanks again for the info.
