I seen on another post a user deleted everything from their deleted folder and that fixed their issue, can you try that?

Red light on constantly

Hi 1st time using this, well 2nd time now cause I think I made a booboo with my 1st post lol 😆. I have a constant red light on on my sky Q box and it's been like this for a few days now and nothing is recording does anyone know what it is. Cheers Aldo

Check that something you were downloading hasn't got stuck and didn't stop when it reached 100%. That happened to me the other morning. If that's happened, cancel the download and the light should go out.

Red Record Light on Constant but not downloading or recording

Ok so recently I've been watching through a series on Sky and it downloads a few episodes for me and then the red lght comes on saying it's downloading but it's not and it's not recording... only thing that seems to work is unpugging it and restarting the download but after watching a few episodes it does it again.

 

Memory is barely being used to it's not that and my internet it fine to so i'm not sure what the issue is and it's not even that many episodes or that old of a program A Discovery Of Witches which i think is about 10/ 12 episodes per season and only 3 seasons, any help would be much appreciated.

Edit 

If you are watching Series from On demand you can set auto download next episode in Preferences.

Then when you watch a series the next episode will start downloading automatically when you start watching the previous one.

If you still have an issue
Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.

Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.

Resetting the settings will also reset:

Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

i also have a consant red recording light -----i have tried all the suggestions and its still there

ive also deleted all recordings and deleted the deleted folder .....help

I've noticed some downloads getting stuck at 100% recently causing the red light to stay lit. Check Recordings, Manage, Downloads and clear any downloads that have got stuck.

I've tried this and still having issues, don't really want to fully reset the box as not confident enough in what i'd be doing and that i can get it to work again especially with pairing my remote 😞 is there anything else i can do?

 

 Maybe I should just keep unplugging it and plugging it back in?
