Due to reasons of how expensive sky got after 24yrs of having sky I had to loose the sky multi room box, question is how do I just get normal TV now as the multi box has to be sent back , is it case of just getting an Ariel ??? Any help would be appreciated as not a tech person.

Certainly a terrestrial aerial would be the best to get freeview TV.
Depending on the location and reception you may get away with an indoor aerial.
