I got an email to upgrade to Sky Q for free. How do I do this?

Exciting times ahead. Because you can now upgrade to Sky Q at no extra cost and start enjoying all the benefits it brings. All for the same price as you pay now.

There’s everything you love about Sky+ and so much more. Watch all your favourite shows. Record programmes while watching TV. Store hundreds of hours of HD recordings. Plus have all your apps in one place.

And once upgraded to Sky Q you’ll have easy access to Netflix too.

What does the email tell you to do to upgrade as I should imagine there would either be a phone number to call or a link to use.

@Roizzy

Be aware that Sky has a slightly slippery concept of 'free' and 'no extra cost', and will always try to upsell a bundle on both hardware and content: you'll need to be persistent to get both a 'free' Sky Q installation and 'no extra cost' on the monthly subscription (it's usually one or the other, but not both).

Note that a 'free' Mini box needs the Multiscreen subscription supplement, taking Netflix Basic to Standard or Premium requires the Sky HD and UHD add-ons, and 'free' Sky Cinema is typically time-limited and then full price.

You can't arrange that here - this is a public forum where other customers help.

You need to call Sky.  The number is 150 if you have a Sky service or the number appears here: https://www.sky.com/help/home  (Click on Need More Help?)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

Check that your number is shown in your Sky account details: https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details
