I can watch Sky Witness channel but it will not record

hi @Riveron 

Do you mean record from the live channel or do you mean download from Catch up or On Demand ?

If Catch up & On demand , do you have the HD Add on ?

If you don't have the HD add on then:
The default download quality is set to HD (high Definition) not SD then when you try to download and watch you are prompted to upgrade (i.e. take out the HD subscription)

If this is the case then you, probably, just need to change your download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences

(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)

@Riveron are you trying to record the HD channel when you only have the SD subscription 

Sky signature comes with live TV, catchup and boxsets.in SD as standard you may be trying to download the programme in HD

The default download setting is HD so try changing the format to download in SD

you can change the default to SD by Pressing Home on your Sky Q remote and select Settings, then Setup.
Select Preferences, then 'On Demand default download format', and choose SD.
