I can't pair my sky q remote.

I have tried pressing 7 and 9 then 1 and 3. But I do not get a message on the TV to pair the remote. Don't know what else to do.

after pressing & holding  7 & 9 together did the red led above the SKY logo button flash 4 times ?

If it did then you need to be aware that after it is reset it uses infrared until re-paired and needs direct line of sight of the box.
