I can’t get past step 2 of 4 when switching sky q back on

i've tried turning the whole thing on and off a few times and holding down various buttons etc.

hi @ST42 

Reset your  remote by pressing  and holding 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times. 
This will set it to infrared which will work all Q boxes.   However the remote must be pointed directly at the Q box.

Switch your Q box back on and you then you should be able to get past step 2 of 4.

Once you get the Q box  working make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q  box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Oh wow thank you so much I'll be home in 20 mins I can't wait to try this out.

I'm still getting stuck at step 2 which is hold down the button with the two arrows on, until it flashes.  Because that button is already flashing when I get to that screen.  And even if I hold down the button so it carries on flashing, I just can't get past that screen.

Hi @ST42 

When it tell you hold down the WPS button (the button with the two arrows on) this is button on the device you are trying to connect to.  (Not on the box where you are getting the message).

If you are carrying out a Network reset on the main Q box  found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router
If you are on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
if you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

If you trying to connect a Q mini and the mini WPS is flashing you need to press the WPS button on the nearest Q device.  This is normally the button on main Q box you must press (or if on Sky Broadband you can use the Sky Router for WPS if nearer).
