Humax recorder box no signal or bad signal since having sky fitted

I had sky fitted (bedroom) Saturday 5th April

Yesterday went to watch recorded programmes on Humax record box and there's no/bad signal and nothing has recorded from that date (5th April) not to sure if engineer who fitted sky didnt connect the Humax record box once he'd connected sky (Humax box was working fine before this) Humax box is in living room

@Kay109  Unless they fitted a Hybrid LNB (did you ask the engineer or tell them about your existing box?) it possible they have fitted a standard wideband LNB with 2 outputs for Sky Q only, you can check this by look at the cable attached to the LNB at th end of the arm on your dish.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

hi @Kay109

Unfortunately to use such a box with SKY Q needs a special type of LNB (the electronic bit on th dish) called a Hybrid LNB

SKY used to fit these if they were discussed & agreed to in advance but, unfortunately stopped installing these  quite a while ago now.

Thus your additional Humax nox would be left disconnected.

If you want to continue to use it you may be able to get a local Satellite installer (at your own cost) to switch the LNB over to a Hybrid LNB

Hi @Kay109   Unfortunately,  Sky Q uses a wide band LNB which will be incompatible with your Humax satellite box. If you follow the satellite leads back to the dish, you will probably find that the installer simply cut them off.
