Hi,
This sounds really dumb, but... Every phone number I try for Sky gets me through to the same voice system. Sometimes I'm told it doesn't recognise my phone number, but eventually I get the 'Mother's maiden name' question - which it tells me I've got wrong and then closes the call after two attempts, so I need to either speak to a person at Sky, or at the very least send a email or use a live chat facility, none of which I've found.
Can anybody offer advice?
Kind regards,
-Andy

I'm happy to report this has all been fixed. Following @Skull+Treaty 's instructions I raised a complaint. I received a call from the Sky helpdesk a few hours later and found out that my account doesn't have a stored name for my mother's maiden name, so whatever I said was always going to be rejected! It seems the setting up of my account preceded the introduction of the question...
So now I'm happy. I've removed the Sky Multiscreen from my packages and didn't even get the hard sell to buy another 20 packages at a huge discount (until the price increases).
Kind regards,
-Andy

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@AndyRW26 There is no other secret get past the automation number, sky won't speak to you if you can't pass verification as this would be a breach of DPA.

Trying using this link, towards the bottom you should see some other options on how to contact Sky.
Even if it helps to get you're account password changed.
I know it says at the top about leaving Sky, I've used that same link to negotiate new rates

Thanks @Skull+Treaty
I think I've now managed to send a contact message using those instructions. I don't need to change my account password, I can login to that just fine. However, I want to remove Sky Multiscreen from my contract (the kids have left home), and for that, I have to call, of course. In the message I asked them to cross-reference my home phone number with the number logged in my account details, and to ring me on that. Email addresses can be spoofed quite easily, but a landline...?
Kind regards,
-Andy
