On my old Sky box I could record a programme and when I wanted to watch it I could select the exact minute I would want to watch from i.e. 30 minutes in.
On the Sky Q box I cannot seem to select a specific minute in which to watch from. Is it possible?

You don't even need to pause. Hit up and then left/right... 🤗

Yeh I did the whole clicking each minute across and thought there must be a quicker way. The voice control works which I am impressed with. Thanks

Hi @CaitlinD No need to click each minute, hold down the Direction Right button to rapidly move across to your selected time. Fine tune with the one minute clicks.

I know these are listed in the link given earlier but I just thought I'd mention my favourite voice commands in recordings
Skip nn minutes
Go To nn minutes
Back nn minutes
You can use hours, minutes & seconds or mix e.g. Go to 1hour 15 minutes
Skip nn minutes is very handy for adverts and you get used to the length on regular used channels (Many are around the 4 minute mark)
You can also say Go To Start

I have the same question as they original poster.
All of these commands fail for me, saying that you cannot use the command here.
They all appear to require that you are already playing back the recording, which is precisely what I am trying to avoid.
This is important because recordings tend to have the end of the previous programme at their start.
Is it possible to start playback at a specific time point?

No you can only start from the beginning or where the system deems was the last point watched. - you can't select the point at which the start watching before you go into the recording
you can use the voice commands as soon as it starts playing
