How on earth do I load apps ?? Uk tv play for instance. Uk tv gold. I’m missing so many apps

SKy Q is not like other platforms - I am afraid you cannot add apps.

You only get the apps that SKy have agreed with the 3rd parties

You can find a lot UKTV play content in Catch up or On Demand 

Edit BTW you can download some content from Drama in HD even though there is only an SD version of the channel (I am watching  The Marlow Murder Club in HD as I write this)

Just use the versions on your TV or get a firestick. Bit clunky but it's the content that matters.
