To watch a program from the beginning that has already started it says to press a button but my remote doesn't have one so what do I do please?

Hi @Mm122
If there is a Watch from Start listed at the bottom of the screen then you just hit the select (central button) on the Q remote. This must be when the message is displaying.

Hi sorry to tag onto this thread, but when I go to watch a programme recorded on my SkyQ box, it constantly plays towards the end of the programme instead of starting from the beginning of the recording. Wife constantly complaining as it's spoiling her soaps!
Is there a default setting somewhere to tell SkyQ to start from the beginning? I get if you've watch part of a programme it'll pick up from there, but surely if you're watching a recording for the first time, it should play from the start?
Thanks for any advice 🙂

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThere is no default for 'Watch From Start'. Someone in your household has flicked onto that channel, albeit for a few seconds whilst channel hopping.

If the system thinks it is part way through then you should see a 'Watch from Start' button below the episode, so you need to look for that.
If you do start watching and find it is part way through then I recommend using the Voice command "Go to Start" as that will quickly go to the beginning.
Other handy Voice controls for recordings are :
Skip nn minutes
Go To nn minutes
Back nn minutes
You can use hours, minutes & seconds or mix e.g. Go to 1hour 15 minutes
Skip nn minutes is very handy for adverts and you get used to the length on regular used channels (Many are around the 4 minute mark)
Voice control in general is very useful - see
