How do i make youtube separate from youtube kids?

Since sky made youtube and youtube kids 1 app, my child is able to access the adults youtube. How do I prevent this 🤔 and only let him use the kids section

It was Google/YouTube's decision to merge the apps rather than Sky, it has happened on TV platforms all over the world.

However you can add a Parental Pin to stop children from accessing the adult accounts:

Thank you, yes i have been using the pin , in my opinion it really defeats the purpose of protecting children from youtube. Bad move on Google and youtubes part

Are you using the PIN feature within the YouTube app? This is seperate to Sky's Parental Control PIN feature, and stops kids from switching to their parent's account so they can't access any unsuitable content.
