How do I get rid of the press upgrade format of my set so i can watch program i have always watched

Don't want to upgrade.. Want to watch program in the grade I have always done. Please help go back to my normal. Thank you

What are you trying to watch, (which channel) and on the main Sky Q box or a mini box? Have you got the HD add-on?

@mxxx Sky signature comes with live TV, catchup and boxsets.in SD as standard you may be trying to download the programme in HD

The default download setting is HD so try changing the format to download in SD

you can change the default to SD by Pressing Home on your Sky Q remote and select Settings, then Setup.
Select Preferences, then 'On Demand default download format', and choose SD.

Or if you are having problems with live TV you mmay be trying to watch a HD channel so will need to change to the SD varient

The original post is difficult to understand but they might be referring to the message that is now appearing on BBC SD channels. If so there is no way to remove it and you will need to watch HD.

@mxxx  Is this by any chance on BBC1 SD?    If you have Sky Q (as you've posted in that forum) then you need t be watching BBC1 HD

Or do you have Sky+ please can you confirm?

This is the same issue as me. I dont have the HD add on so whenever i try to download an episode from a sky channel (witness in this case) it comes up 'press red to upgrade' this is a total con to get you to upgrade as until recently, i thought that meant i couldn't watch any programmes on demand rather than just not in HD format 

You can either change the default download format in 'settings' as other posters have mentioned HOWEVER this has to be done on your main sky Q box as the option is not available on the mini boxes.

Or you could change each episode one at a time which wiuld be very annoying but to do that you got the episode and below there is a button that says 'all formats' if you click that and select 'std' it will then let you download

I wouldn't call it a con but it would be better if it suggested changing the setting for you when this happens.
