I just went back to SKY Q but have kept my Sky glass tv, however to access the sky q menu I now need to scroll down and select HDMI inputs using the Sky glass TV remote. I have gone through all the help on here and Sky and can't find a solution to this, any ideas? It is annoying having to use 2 separate remote controls

Have you followed the steps here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/connect-q-to-glass
As per step 5: Turning on HDMI CEC control on your Q box should turn your TV on and set it to the correct input.

Hi MikeAlanR
Yes I tried this, although my Q box is not a new one I followed the steps and hdmi is switched on, it seems that the Sky glass to is not compatible which seems rather short sighted in the least

So... with both Sky Glass and Sky Q in standby... when you activate the Sky Q box the Sky Glass doesn't activate?

Hi
yes the sky q remote activates the skyglass to howver to get to the Q menu I need to scroll down and select hdmi thus requiring 2 remotes at all times

Is the Sky Q box activated?
To clarify... Are both the Sky Glass TV and Sky Q box in standby when you activate the Sky Q box with the Sky Q remote?
Does the Sky Q box activate first then the Sky Glass TV activates?

Yes to all of the above

If the power is switched off and the plug for the Sky Q box pulled out ... does the standby button the Sky Q box remote activate the Sky Glass TV?

Yes using a long 3 second hold

Interesting so CEC from the the Sky Q box is turning on the Sky GlassTV... but the Sky Glass TV is switch off the HDMI connection🤔
Is wifi switched off on the Sky Glass TV and there is no Ethernet cable attached to the Sky Glass TV and no aerial cable attached to the Sky Glass TV?

Turn the wifi off so the Sky Glass TV is just a monitor attached to the Sky Q box🤔

Tried that and now the TV starts with the message no Wi-Fi get me connected and no other options

Is that message coming from the TV or is it the Sky Q box.... you do have the Sky Q box connected to the internet?

Amazing I have managed to resolve the issue, I was using a non provided hdmi cable, I put in the original cable and the setup starts hdmi automatically!
Sorry to waste any of your time but appreciate your help
