@SallyAR  In such cases reading your TV's user manual on how to connect external devices is a must.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

I have bought a newTCL TV.  I have inserted the HDMI cable from the Sky Q box into the HDMI port of the TV.  I have switched on both Sky and the TV, but there appears to be no connection.

With any new television (which these days are all 'smart') it's best to get them on an internet connection, let them fully update, do a full restart and only then start connecting external devices over HDMI.
