House flood sky Q and wiring

I've been trying to get through following a flood in my house where my living room has been under water since Saturday night Sunday.   Wiring all under water.   Had to switch off electricity and move out.

when I called to advise they are offering me a new account for another 18 months.  That's not what I want I need to get advice from them on what they can do.

Has anyone else been in this situation?

im still waiting on the insurance assessors getting in touch as everything is

ruined😢😢😢

I am a vulnerable adult with complex health issues and don't know when I will be able to return to my home but am still paying for my services from SkY.

please help!

You do not own the Q hardware - so you are potentially liable for replacement costs if the insurance doesn't cover it.

If you are subject to a current minimum term then you cannot cancel and have to continue paying unless Sky agree to cancel.  Given the extreme circumstances you'd hope they'd be more understanding instead of try to sell you something!

@YBlan  As far as we know Sky won't suspend the account.  You can still use Sky Go away from the home.

As for the damaged Q box you'll need to claim off the insurance for that as it is loaned equipment.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
