Hi, my skyq box isn't working, so I unplugged and plugged it back in. Still not working.
The blue light is on in the middle of the box and the Amber light is on. Every so often the light goes red and you get the messages hello and will be ready in a couple of minutes, then back to Amber light , been doing this for nearly an hour. Can anybody help

Re: Hi, my skyq box isn't working, so I unplugged and plugged it back in. Still not working.
A few things to try:
1) Press Home on your Sky Q remote and select Settings > Setup > Preferences > Standby mode, and select the setting you want. I have all my boxes set to NONE.
2) I'd suggest fully rebooting the Sky Q main box.
Unplug from the wall for at least 30 seconds.
Now plug back in the Sky Q box and follow the on-screen instructions. This can take up to 5 minutes, and hopefully, you're back up and running.
3) Have you checked the 2 cables feeding the rear of the Sky Q box?
Worth removing both by unscrewing the threaded nut-heads, and ensure there are a few millimetres of wire showing proud of the cable end. Now reattach the cables to the slots and tighten the nut-heads.
Also, check that there are no restrictions with the line of sight of the satellite dish to the skies.
If the issue continues best to contact Sky for an Engineer to check your dish alignment or signal loss due to some unwanted movement of the dish. Also, unplug the HDMI's from both ends and reseat them.
Good luck.
