Hi my sky mini box keeps announcing the volume every time I change it

It also announces when screen is turned off and hdmi

I think this may be a setting on your TV rather than the SKy Mini box

Try exploring the menus with your TV's own remote

It's definitely not the tv as I do not use the tv remote its in a cupboard. My 1 year old had the the sky remote and has done this

Personally, I really do think it is your TV  even if it seems unlikely - especially as you mention it referring to the HDMI also the SKY Q box doesn't know the actual volume level in use just that you press up /down.

The sky remote can control the TV volume. The sky box itself has no volume control.
