Help needed please, Gave notice to leave sky Q TV 22nd Jan, can't find a way to speak to them

Hello, hoping you can help me. I cancelled my Sky Q (out of contract) on 22nd Jan, giving the required 31 days notice. They took two further payments from my account, not authorised by me, 14th March and 14th Feb, both for £70.50 (as I understand we pay sky one month in advance). They have now suspended my account, so I can't get through on the phone without setting up a direct debit and paying the bill, they are asking for £75.00 from me due for May, and have added £10 fee on top. I have tried everything I can possibly think of to speak to someone. I can get Sky Q in Ireland, they can't get help as I am uk based. Please help, providing the phone  contact number, that won't work, unless I pay the money I don't owe. I am due to re-mortgage and do not want to risk bad debt against my excellent credit record, so can't let this go. Plus they owe me money. Thanks. William Telford

Hi @Telf+123   Do you still have proof that Sky received and accepted your cancellation. Like a letter or an email.

How did you cancel?

Did you receive an email from Sky acknowledging the cancellation? 

Did you receive packaging to return your Sky Q equipment and then return it?

I'm afraid you may well have to pay to move forwards.  Forum escalation staff cannot assist with restricted accounts.

 

You may be able to connect by using a number they do not recognise or withholding with 141 prefix.

 

Whilst it's not what you want to hear it's likely to be the quickest way forward.

 

If your account was properly cancelled then, of course, they'll return any overpayments.  However, if £10 late fees have been added this may have already been reported to credit agencies.

 

Plus they owe me money. 

Sky seem to think otherwise.

@Telf+123  I don't get this! You asked for what sounds like urgent help but haven't responded to any of the questions from fellow customers trying to help!

I am just another Sky customer!
