Having Ultra HD package without having Sky Sports or Movies?
I feel somewhat of an idiot for asking this but here goes. We bought a decent TV capable of UHD a few years ago and as we were also moving house at the time I included UHD in the package as I thought there would be a lot of this type of content. Talking to someone recently and stating that we don't have, and never have had, Sky sports or movies, they queried the point of paying for UHD? I don't see any other Sky channels using UHD, and if I watch Youtube etc I get UHD whenever it's there. Have I just been wasting my money? Appreciate any replies.

@Guyver9069 You will get access to Sky Movies and programmes in UHD via the On Demand service, with the exception of Sky Sports/F1 there are no other UHD channels.

hi @Guyver9069
Whilst it is true that most content in UHD is either sports or Movies, there are several entertainment shows (quite a lot of SKY Atalantic content for example) & documentaries in UHD - all of which must be downloaded.
Only you can determine if the UHD add on is it worth it for you but if you have not been watching such dramas/documentaries then, yes, it is likely that you have been wasting your money

That would be because there aren't any.
UHD content from those channels (where it exists) is on-demand, not broadcast, and so doesn't appear directly in the numbered EPG.

Hi @Guyver9069 It all depends of your viewing preferences, there are lots of programmes available in UHD like the last of us and gangs of London. Go to On demand, Ultra HD.

Re: Having Ultra HD package without having Sky Sports or Movies?
...the other good reason to have UHD was it lifted the NetFlix tier if you had your subscription via Sky. (This has since changed)
