Hi Both
Many thanks again.
1. Ain't changed cable.
2. About 1m (Supplied by Sky engineer when we upgraded to Q a few months back.
3. HDMI 4 set to Enhanced on Sony.
4. Hardware version 32B107. (Was 2Tb/HDR) when watching a few months ago.
Think I may have to go through the Bangalore pain barrier manana.

One thing to try
Can you go to
Home - Help - HDR Set-Up Tutorials
And see if you can download the Test Card in HDR (check that it shows an HDR icon but ignore the fact the thumbnail says SDR Test Card)

Hi @hapazard2 It would save a lot of questions if you told us the full model number of your Sony TV. It will start with KD or XR. Sorry, without reading back, did you confirm that the Sky Q HDMI port on the TV is set to Enhanced.

Downloaded the test card, and it ended with screen showing "HDR may not have been set up correctly"😁😁Well it was for about four months. I'll have to have a look at the 4m tutorial when wife surrenders the remote.

Sorry missed the post about model no. It's a
Sony Bravia KD-49XF90. Yes, Enhanced setting on hdmi port.

Any chance you can try using HDMI input 2 (don;t forget to make sure it is set to enhanced also)?

Hi @hapazard2
You haven't by any chance moved Sky Q from HDMI 3 to HDMI 4 to free up your HDMI 3 (ARC) to connect your sound bar? If your XF90 is anything like my old XE93 then only HDMI 2 & 3 should be used for HDR (port set to Enhanced. I would try HDMI 2 (Enhanced).
From your manual: 3840 × 2160p (50, 60 Hz)*2 - *2 HDMI IN 2/3 only. To support 18 Gbps, set [HDMI
signal format] to [Enhanced format].

If I am understaning the manual correctly I do think it is similar & that only 2 & 3 can be used for full 4K HDR (hence my suggestion above)

1. Haven't moved HDMI from 3 to 2.
2. Pretty certain I've tried 2 to no avail.
Will check tutorial and cabling when I'm home later.

Midnight update
Wrnt back to Q settings/audio visual. Could see picture resolution was only 8 bit. (10 yesterday) Screen went black when I tried to change to 10, so turned TV off and then switched Q box off. Went back to Q settings after restart and searched for our Tom H. This time it was showing as UHD/HDR.
To note: My process re verifying HDR was correct. (Start watching, go into Bravia display settings and HDR appears next to HDMI in top right of TV screen)
