@chriswillats wrote:I am a little confused and somewhat currently pleasantly surprised. A few months ago I cancelled TNT Sports I had with Sky Q. No longer wanted to pay £30 a month. All good it ended.
Today I have activated HBO Max through Sky Q box and told it to use same address as Sky. In the HBO Max app in Settings>Subscription it says I have HBO Basic with Ads and TNT Sports. I clicked a live baseball game and works.
So I get TNT Sports free now?
You might want to check your bills that you or being charged for it. What do you see when look at channel 410 on your Sky box And if you go and look at your products in the my sky dose it list hbo max TNT as well

Channel 410 says "you don't subscribe to this channel" and basically I would need to upgrade etc etc.
Obviously months ago when I had TNT Sports 410 allowed me to view. It blocked me viewing when I cancelled, as expected of course.

HBOmax
Very concerned that having paid additional cost to get HBOmax in UHD and 5.1 DD on the Sky Q app I am just getting Stereo. We had this with Paramount+ and Disney+ app though now they are 5.1DD. How long before HBO becomes 5.1 DD?

Re: HBO and TNT not working
@Justine+Hutton wrote:I have a tnt package through EE/BT. When activitaing the HBO sky app it links to that account and shows both packages in settings but only the TNT sports package is active.
Is there a fix without changing the email address on the TNT package?
Do you have both packages on the same email address L

Well it seems to mention a date from several months ago when we cancelled. And yet I can still watch TNT in HBO. A bit of cycling currently.
My Sky shows me as not subscribed, not paying £30, no mention of a future bill changing etc.
I guess I make the best of it until no doubt systems detect it and clear it up and remove my access?

At the DOB section I pressed the ok (middle round button) twice and it brought up a keypad on the screen

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
I have Ultimate Package. It says HBO max is included in my subscription however when I ever i try to register/acticate I hot a brick wall
When I go to hbomax.com I ge "we are not available in your location yet". I'm presuming this is because I'm in the Channel Islands. We very often get improperly excluded or geo blocked.
Putting a UK VPN on doesn't work either. It appears HBO are blocking VPNS.
So what do I do to get what I should be able to access? Move from Guernsey? Is that the only option??????

Linked SKY to wrong HBO Account
I mange the Sky TV (Sky Q) to subscription for an elderly relative. When trying to link the HBO app for them, it automatically linked it to my account (rookie mistake, forgetting to log out), how do I delink the Sky account from my account?

You do if you want to watch them and be able to skip adverts or£10 if you want to watch them in UHD. You can see this as White Lotus seasons 2 and 3 are available on Sky still in uhd but season 1 is now only on HBO max so therefore HD with adverts-unless you pay extra.

Re: HBOmax
Noticed on the 'free' version yesterday, just stereo. Signed in to the app on my Smart TV and got DD5.1.
Not dissimilar to Netflix where on the Sky app I get HDR and DD5.1, but my LG gives me Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
Always use your Smart TV standalone apps if they're available.

Yes it does seem to only be PM 2.0 sound on the SKY Q app (the Stream app seems to have 5.1 & probably Atmos) - this has been fed back to SKY but no idea on when we will get 5.1 but I am sure we will.
BTW I get 5.1 on my Firestick app & I guess apps on TVs and other devices may also support 5.1 at this time
(edit: A smart TV confirmed by @NewtonBoy above)

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Finally. HBO premium on a different device like Apple tv or Google TV delivering the quality sky should of been delivering. 4K 24p PREMIUM Dolby Vision and Atmos for HBO, DC and Warner content finally.
It does need more content as I seen stuff missing. The better specs grabbed my attention as presentation matters no more cheap HLG or wrong fps been saying it for years and got to be said again.
Now all we need is sky shows to be given the Dolby Vision presentation. I just found out your owner gave Day of the Jackal a Dolby Vision presentation on peacock in the US but we did not get that same superior presentation here which was a shame. Wonder why sky shows we missing out on being presented better Premium fee but not so Premium presentation.
