HBO app nightmare

Last night I took out a subscription to TNT Sports. This morning, with it swapping from Discovery to HBO Max. So I dutifully logged on the app, however, I must have clicked the wrong option at some stage, because although all the TV and films were there, it didn't recognise that I had a TNT Sports subscription, so I could not access any sports through the app. I then spent several hours on the phone/chat to Sky and HBO to try to sort this, but nobody seems to know the answer as to how to get the app linked properly to my Sky account. Does anyone have any ideas how I fix this problem?

HBO and TNT not working

I have a tnt package through EE/BT. When activitaing the HBO sky app it links to that account and shows both packages in settings but only the TNT sports package is active.

Is there a fix without changing the email address on the TNT package?

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I've entered my date of birth via the Sky app on my phone, but it's still not letting me into HBO Max. every time I go in to watch on my TV, it asks me to complete my profile but won't allow me to enter my date of birth so I can't go any further. please assist

Just realised that I can still watch it in uhd using the on demand.  However, GOT can now only be watched with ads whereas before I could watch it without.  This is not an improvement.

I find it a bit odd that on my Sky Q box, when I scroll down to the Apps section, I then have to scroll across 10 tiles before I see the one for HBO Max. You'd have thought Sky would make it the first tile available, especially today, launch day.

Bizarrely I thought exactly the same. I thought it would have been promoted to the beginning of all the apps. It was so far along I got worried it wouldn't be there.

And is the email address you used on discovery plus the same as your Sky id email address?

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I am a little confused and somewhat currently pleasantly surprised. A few months ago I cancelled TNT Sports I had with Sky Q. No longer wanted to pay £30 a month. All good it ended.

Today I have activated HBO Max through Sky Q box and told it to use same address as Sky. In the HBO Max app in Settings>Subscription it says I have HBO Basic with Ads and TNT Sports. I clicked a live baseball game and works.

So I get TNT Sports free now?

Hi,

So do I have to pay £5 a month to watch shows that were free to watch previously?

No.
