You done the "hold down 7&9" until the LED flashes" then "hold down 1&3" process?

I had the same problem with the new SkyQ box delivered to my elderly mother 2 weeks ago. It worked on the day the engineer installed it, but the following day she couldn't do anything with it.  I changed the batteries and it was then fine, so suggest checking them in your remote. Presumably if they've been stored for some time unused, the batteries just drain!
