Getting rid of the channel banner at bottom of screen
We have a Sky Glass tv with Sky Q box (hate Sky Glass for viewing and not being able to record and view later!). We're having an issue with the channel banner appearing whenever you go into the recordings screen and covering half the screen so you can't see what is recorded. Is there any way to turn it off? Using the back button doesn't remove it, it just takes you back to the menu! I suspect it may be a ploy to stop people using Sky Q and move everyone to Glass but I'm not in to streaming!

Hi @Samonell
There may be a few people here that have SKY Q with SKY Glass but probably not many so your replies might be limited to guess work.
Is the banner you seeing definitely coming from SKY Q and not the Glass TV - thus needing the Glass remote to remove.
BTW I have not searched and I am not quite sure of the overlap but I seem to remember that some functions do get mixed up and there might possibly be a special remote available for people with both Q & Glass (of course I could be mis-remembering - I may see if I can find more info but can't promise)
EDIT : Please see this link that mentions a modified Glass remote which also mentions a banner

Thank you @nigea99 - using Sky Glass remote does get rid of it! Not ideal having to use both remotes but at least we can read what we need to see! I'll search the internet for a dual remote!

If I understand @TimmyBGood 's post on the link I gave as the one you might need , you might be able to get one of the remotes by calling SKY
