For global events it's entirely up to the promotors (in this case Queensberry, Top Rank, K2 and Usyk17) to work with the venue and local production companies to enable 4K capture, workflow and transmission if they choose to do so (and, presumably, if the cost makes financial sense). As @oldfella indicates, national distributors such as Sky who take a global feed can only use what they are given.

That's really annoying and I get it's not sky's fault, but you would of thought this magnitude of fight would be in UHD. I seen an another forum that it was in UHD so I got excited

Will the Fury vs Usyk fight this Saturday be available in UHD?

Totally out of Sky's control however I am a little surprised that it is not given that this is one of the biggest fights in years and there isnt a shortage of budget in the staging of it to say the least. It does appear to be a major oversight.

Comepletey agree, I am trying to work out who to buy it through now for the nest quality, Sky DAZN or TNT

I think TNT via Amazon prime are showing it in UHD. Sky is becoming a waste of time. Prices keep going up snd content continues to get worse.

Just had a look on Prime Video, the fight is not carrying the 4k/UHD badge.

I don't think it's in UHD on any of the platforms, seems it's all just HD which is a shame

Well one way to make your feelings on the matter clear. Don't give them your money.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreOne distinct possibility is that for such an 'important event'* 4K capture, workflow and transmission just isn't considered to be fast enough or sufficiently reliable for the promoters to risk it adversely affecting their prospective global audience.
*for some people, apparently. Personally I find the history, technical details and personalities behind The Rumble in the Jungle much more interesting...
