Failed attempts to have sky q installed.

I have had the sky hd+ box for many years, so I decided to change to sky Q. The problem is I live in a apartment complex which uses a communal dish. Thr engineer has been twice and is not able to complete installation as he can't locate a certain cable which is supposed to to complete the job. He located all the other cables but not this one. Even the Caretaker for the building had no idea.Has anyone else had this issue when using a communal dish?. It looks like I will just have to stick with the old box. Which is a shame as its looking outdated. Has anyone had sky glass installed?. Any feedback?
