@Roberto950

Sounds like the dish is slightly out of alignment. Have a look at the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish (it’s not something that will necessarily be visible to the naked eye). However, if you’re on a communal dish system in the UK you’ll need to contact your landlord or building management company who are responsible for arranging repairs rather than Sky.

Alas, it is not necessarily that simple, if the fault does lie within the landlords communal Integrated Reception System installation equipment then yes it will be up to them to arrange for the repair, particularly if it is a modern installation using dSCR communal multiswitches.

But, if Sky have been allowed to install their Unitron dCSS-422 Sky Q Plug-In adaptors in order to allow an elderly legacy Universal LNB multiswitch communal IRS installation to support Sky Q and this is the component that has developed a fault, then it will be the responsibility of Sky to replace their device. NB as I understand it, only a Sky subscriber can request the attendance of a Sky MDU trained engineer because the landlord will not have an account with Sky.

That is why I would personally always advise communal residents to initially ask for the attendance of a Sky MDU trained engineer who would be able to analyse exactly whether the fault was due to a defective Sky Q receiver, or a defective Unitron dCSS-422 device, or a defect in the communal IRS installation itself which would then be up to the landlord to arrange for repair of their equipment, with the guidance provided by the MDU engineers Televes H30 test meter 'logger' report PDF format file, which will show exactly which satellite transponders were failing to achieve the required Modulation Error Ratio (MER) quality of at least 11 dB.

Signal Levels
o Fully data log all ports from the existing switch that will be used to provide signal and ensure all pass.
o Check the signal levels are between 65dBuV and 85dBuV from the existing switch.
o MER - >11dB
o bBER - minimum- 2.00xE-4

If the loggers show fails there is nothing you can do to rectify the fault. Export the logger as a PDF file and send to the customer via email so they can speak to their Managing Agent (MA) so arrangements can be made to have the block serviced.
