Ethernet only sky Q and 3 mini boxes on gigabit fibre broadband

Hi, help and advice please. Having gotten tired of intermittent and slow internet from sky I decided to get full fibre to the premises FTTP broadband from giganet (city fibre installed it). I understand that sky FTTP would of been a easier option however Sky fibre was more expensive. 

so I have sky Q main box and 3 mini boxes all trying to work on the duel band skyQ mesh WiFi also have a SkyQ booster wired connection to the sky router. 

I would like to achieve wired Ethernet network connection to all smart TVs (no 7) and skyQ devices (1+3+booster) and WiFi for other mobile devices. 

if I buy a unmanaged Ethernet switch, say 24 port can I just plug everything n and it will work? Here is my method. 

plug 24 port swith into giganet hub so I have more ports (only has 2, 1 for fibre link and 1 spare).

Then run ethernets to all my smart TVs and console.

Then run Ethernet cable from main skyQ box to switch and do the same with the 3 mini boxes. 
unplug and disconnect the skyQ router

disable both WiFi connections on skyQ main boxes and mini boxes to force it to use Ethernet. 

I assume any other WiFi devices such as phone and tablets will only work if in range of the giganet hub so reconfigure the sky booster also connected via Ethernet to act as standard acces point to extend the giganet wifi.

Don't think the sky booster will help much

I'd get a wifi mesh, try that and have each sky box plugged into a node. Saves a lot of cabling.

Does the fttp router really only have one LAN ethernet port? Think you need a switch there whatever happens but 24ports is a big beast.

Be aware that many TV manufacturers e.g. Samsung have not bothered to upgrade their etehrnet ports even on flagship TVs , so they only run at 100mbps rather than gb or faster. they seem to expect everyone to use wifi.

No: they know that nothing a UHD television can do requires more than 30Mbs (UHD/HDR streaming to an on-board app).  Even an 8K set only 'needs' about 50Mbs for native resolution, not that there's any such content for them.

As someone who has had mixed successes with connecting sky to mesh satellites, I would say if you can run a cable to each sky box, do.

A mesh is great for almost everything else but again I had 1 particular TV that had intermittent WiFi issues. So yes if you are knowledgeable enough and capable, wired is very useful for devices that are never going to move.
