Equipment Return Terms

I am happy for sky to have their equipment back & was aware that it was on loan. However, i was disturbed to be informed that, apparently, although the specifics of the contract terms could not be detailed by the sky employee, i am legally bound to dismantle the equipment that was installed by a sky engineer (i was charged a set-up fee for this), use my free time to pack the items in the pre-paid packaging sky will post to my address & take all of this to my local post office which is not within walking distance, so further to my time, i have to cover fuel costs, wear & tear to my personal vehicle, pay parking charges, walk through the precinct & wait in the , often heavy, queue for the counter & then return home. & unless i do this, i will be "fined" (sky phone operator terminology) £160 & i must ensure delivery occurs within a 60 day period. Am i correct? Can these specificis be referred to in the terms & conditions of my skyq contract, please?

hi @Louis+Cypher

I believe you can arrange for Royal Mail to collect from you.

Yes I did that BUT Royal Mail do not give you a  receipt if they collect it from home so make a note of the tracking number on the label follow it on line and save a collection and delivery screendump.

Mine was delivered but Sky still told me it had not been received, sorted by a phone call, I hope!

@Louis+Cypher

Apart from the Royal Mail collection as detailed in the posts above you are correct. It's the same for everyone.

@Louis+CypherMaybe Sky will send out one of their installers to disconnect and return the equipment if you offer to pay the standard £65 fee?
