Many thanks for help. 
As feared above the visiting Sky engineer could do nothing to remedy. 
I contacted Community Fibre and after a frustrating delay the issue has now been resolved.

Hello.

 

Did anyone get a fix for this? We have been having the same problem for the last week and can't download anything. Just keeps saying Location Check Failed. Spoke with Sky and they are sending an Engineer next week.

Yes @Quinn4, as above. My Internet provider Community Fibre had to fix glitch. No issue with Sky.

Good grief. An engineer can't fix it. They just need to update their geolocation database as per earlier posts on this. I'll eacalate and the online team on here should be able to help. Look out for a chat bubble invitation.
