Dolby digital 5.1 does not work on my av receiver

Just bought a 55" lg oled , connected my pioneer av receiver to the arc hdmi, and my sky box to another hdmi on the tv. When I watch a movie on sky with Dolby digital the Dolby digital signal doesn't play on my av receiver, just stereo.

hi @guinnes 

Make sure that the audio output for your (e)ARC connection on your TV is set to Dolby Digital (or DD+ if it can handle it) or possibly Auto  

Edit : Have you also tried any Apps such as Netflix on your TV ?

edit 2 : P.S I presume you have set the output on your SKY box to DD (or DD+)
