Does Netflix have to be linked to same email address as Sky?
Hello all,
My parents have had sky for years, last year they added Netflix to the account. When this was done an email was sent to my mother to link her Sky bill to a netflix account, this worked fine. Account's bill was ending at start of March so they did the usual ring and see what offer they can get. This year they were able to get 2 screen netflix instead of 4 (which they had last year) but that suits them, so no issue.
At weekend an email was received from Netlix to say "You’re no longer using your Sky bill to pay for your Netflix membership. Please add a new payment method to keep watching all your favourite TV programmes and films.". They taksed me to ring Sky to get help on this. I spent way too long on a call (and before that on Whatsapp) trying to resolve this issue and the solution is, according to the guy I spoke with, to sign up for a new account with Netflix and use the email address on the Sky account.
My parents have a Netflix account since it launched here but it uses a different email address to their sky account. I don't see anything anywhere that says that the 2 accounts have to use the same email address and, like I said, this was not the case 12 months ago. Before I spend more time on calls, does anyone have anything explicitly stating that this is now the case?
Surely it can't be the case that you are locked into the same email address on both the Sky Account and Netflix, can it? Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is the case. You can transfer an existing netflix account to sky billing and that wouldn't work if they had to be on the same email address.
