Whilst I have Sky Q so obviously have the BBC HD channels 101 etc, whenever I record BBC programmes I typically do so on the SD channels simply to save space on the hard drive. I know that the SD channels (801, 802 etc) will be going away soon, but does anyone know if my existing recordings on those channels will be deleted post this date? I wasn't able to find anything on the help pages.

There's no reason they would be: the ending of SD transmission is not a rights issue.

I concur with @TimmyBGood
Further to that I have had recordings from channels that have ceased (e.g. TV 5 Monde) in the past and the recordings continued to work after
However, I suggest that you no longer record the SD version - whilst SD recordings do use less space than HD, HD recordings really do not fill up even the smaller 1TB very fast.
