Sky believes that by adding the new programs (Apps) they are doing us a favour

without advising you have to pay subscription charges to watch.

Sorry Sky - i dont need these new programs (Apps) as i have enough to watch via Sky and Netflix.

Been with Sky 18 yrs and I am prepared to cancel our whole Sky package.

i am 76 yrs and disabled and now paying Rachel Reeves tax on my only pension (State Pension) and just do not want additional expenditure being added on.

Shame on you Sky- why did you not give your valuable customer base an option either  Yes or No and if "NO" no sky fees would be added.

Hi @brockieman   I'm sorry I don't understand your question for us fellow customers (not Sky). The Disney+ add-on doesn't cost you anything extra. If you don't want to watch it, then don't activate it. It makes no difference to what you are paying. Please see Welcome below for information about this community.

Disney + Billing

So I got an email today from Sky I now get Disney Plus for free.

I want to upgrade to the no advertisments version.

When I go through My Sky it wants me to put a credit card number in... **bleep**???

I want it to charge the £4 extra to my monthly Sky Bill and the same DD..

Why cant I do this? How do I resolve this?

Thanks

@atgio my understanding is that it's not a fault. It's how the billing is designed to work.

With Disney+ as being discussed here it's at no extra charge unless you upgrade to a no ads option.

Sorry Sky - i dont need these new programs (Apps) as i have enough to watch via Sky and Netflix.

Then as @MightyQuinn has indicated don't sign up to it. There's no obligation to sign up and no extra to pay.

Re: Disney + Billing

Oh goodness what a joke.

Can I control what date of the month this stupid credit card payment is taken? Like I can my Sky Q Direct Debit ?

Hi @atgio   I'm afraid that this is not possible. All Sky Marketplace subscriptions are billed separate using a debit or credit card.

Disney + subscriptions through Sky are done via the Sky Marketplace, which requires separate billing information ( credit/debit card) and is charged separately from your main Sky TV subscription.

Hi @Cannot+afford+bil   It is after your Disney+ logon, not your Sky logon. The one you set up during activating it.

Yeah I would have preferred the same but it seems that's not how it works.

If it's on a credit card, who cares? Your CC billing date will be whatever it currently is, surely?

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I didn't realise it went through Sky Marketplace, I had a dreadful experience with a subscription through them for Paramount+, lots of failed payments which were very difficult to pay because Sky hadn't a clue what was going on.

There is no way for Disney to know & verify your Sky ID password. You have to use whatever email & password you set up your Disney+ account with

Disney Plus linked accout

Hi has is anyone else having this issue with Disney Plus? I have activated the offer through my sky app and linked it to my existing Disney Plus account. On my sky i can see Disney plus standard with ads £0.00 and on my Disney Plus account the billing says Standard with Ads billed through sky. Every time i go on to the Disney Plus app on sky q i get a pop up saying scan the qr code to complete activation. When i scan it the link takes me to my sky account but its prompting me to buy Disney Plus standard for £4 per month?

Have I done the set up correctly?
