Re: Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu into one single subscription, exclusively on Sky

  @Superclarkey15  and @joeyjoejo

From the FAQ section: Have Disney+ through Disney? You don't need to cancel anything. After you've activated your account with Sky, your subscription with Disney will be paused if you paid monthly, and cancelled if you paid annually. If you're due a refund, Disney will pay this within 14 days.

Hi everyone,

From 17 March, Disney+ Standard with Ads is now part of the Sky package for Sky Q/Glass/Stream customers. That means even more brilliant entertainment included in your monthly subscription, at no extra cost.

Whether you're diving into Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic or the latest Star originals, we’d love to hear how you're finding the new addition.

For FAQ's and to check if your package is included, click here.

💬Tell Us:

  • Is everything working as expected?
  • Noticed anything unexpected in activation, billing or app behaviour?
  • Anything else you’d like to tell us?

Whilst the process was fine, despite Sky stating any annual subscriptions would be refunded Disney aren't doing this and just stating that the original yearly subscription account is 'paused'. Many of us would not have gone through the process and end up paying twice if we hadn't have been misinformed so can someone in Sky give Disney a swift kicking and say to them that they should refund anyone with a outstanding amount please.

hi @cuke

This has been raised and we have been advised that, despite the messages you may have received as part of the migration saying it is just suspended, Disney will be refunding the amount remaining for annual subscribers (as per the help pages & announcements etc)

We have not been given any specifics on the refund process but I am guessing it may take a few days for this to go through & show in people's accounts

We all know what the FAQ says, our reading and comprehension skills are fine.

The issue is the mail from Disney that contradicts what is in the FAQ, it has been acknowledged as an issue and we're waiting for details.

@joeyjoejo  We're had confirmation despite the poor choice of wording annual plans are being refunded

I had Premium that i was paying for through O2. Did the switch to Sky last night, cancelled my O2 subscription. Disney+ now says i am subscribed through Sky which is fine.

I get that they set you up on the Standard with ads which is also fine. Having looked into it there should be an option through Sky to upgrade to Standard (no ads) for £4 a month or Premium for £9 a month. I've decided that i don't actually need Premium so would like to upgrade to Standard but when i click on Disney+ on the MySky app it only gives me an option to upgrade to Premium for £9 a month or stick with the Standard with ads for no additional cost.

Actually just noticed that when i log into my account on desktop, in my products Disney+ still says 'complete activation' but as far as i'm aware its activated as was watching it last night.

I can't recall but is there a clickable link where it says "Complete activation"? What does it lead to?

@Me134

Sorry not sure why when i click reply its not letting me quote your previous comment.

On the MySky app yesterday when i did the change over there was a 'complete activation' link which i clicked on and it took me to the Disney+ app to complete the activation.

That link is no longer there on the MySky app, however on the website under 'my products' it still says under Disney+ 'complete activation' in orange. But it's not a clickable link..

Unlink/Deactivate Disney+

When I activated Disney+ via the My Sky app yesterday I managed to link it to the wrong Disney+ account, one I had years ago rather than the one I was using last year. 🙈

Is it possible to unlink or deactivate Disney+ from my Sky subscription so I can link it to the correct Disney+ account?

Any help or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I activated the Disney+ package yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at what was available. Lots of films like Wall-E, Finding Nemo which disappeared from Sky a long time ago. I watched 30 mins of Wall-E and no adverts which was nice.

The real prize was finding Homeland and 24 which I never expected. Bravo! 👏

I'll keep the option to upgrade to the 4K / Atmos under consideration. The only downside was the rather poor response via SkyQ. It was far better using the app on my Sony Bravia 8 II.

Sony Bravia 8 II OLED TV; Sky Q 2Gb; Arcam AVR21 AVR; Spendor D7.2 / AC2, B&W 600.3,+ Atmos, Oppo UHD203 player, AppleTV.

@Wibbly-Woo  Emails are still being dispatched so you are likely to receive yours in the near future

Sky has probably done it like this to avoid overloading their servers with customers trying to register all at a once

  @Ray+P  If I were you, I'd stick with using the D+ app on your TV. It's what I do with all the various platforms, even if they are available via my Sky Q box. If you can afford it, paying the extra £9 per month for the 4k/Atmos option is definitely worth it. As you can see, you now have a wealth of content to check out on D+, hope you enjoy it all.

@gillesam  Contact Disney for assistance has only they can unlink accounts, this information has been confirmed as the proper route by sky

do not take no for an answer from Disney if they try and pass the buck back to sky
