Disney app not playing next episode properly

When I go to watch the next episode of a series on Disney plus, it gorees back to the last 5 minutes of the previous episode.  I watch the epsode right to the end, so that the next episode is ready to watch, but only if I watch it immediately.   Otherwise the previous episode is showing with 5 minutes remaining and i either have to watch the end of the episode again or go to the episode list and find the one I want to watch.
