Discovery-contact your provider to watch

Hi

 

Sorry if I'm late coming to the party on this.  I've tried to watch some shows but getting above message on virtually everything. We renewed contract recently and still have Sky Q and Sky Cinema.  The only thing removed from our package was TNT Sport. Is this some sort of punishment for that?

Hi @hapazard2 

Without TNT Sport Discovery plus on Sky will only be Standard and not premium.

Maybe you should try reactivating your Discovery plus to receive standard content.

I had an inkling that might be the case. Funny the advisor didn't mention as way of persuading me to stay.  

I think I've got the "standard"- coded for about. 1% of the content.

Sorry to revive this. Think I was confused about standard Discovery Plus. Watching app on Firestick and can see I'm only accessing "free content". (Hence ref to only getting 1% of progs) When I hit the link to reactivate on the article provided, it says I need a subscription first.  Is there another stage I have to go through, perhaps on Sky Q? 

(Or does standard limit the number of devices with that subscription?)

Update

 

Logged into Discovery app in Sky Q and reactivated using code on screen. However, I now get "upgrade using mobile phone or browser then retry" message when selecting content. 

Why is everything so fraught following a simple change of package?
