What did you try? If you don't press the quote button, the forum doesn't
show who/what you are replying to, annoyingly.

Sign in to your Discovery+ account and go to Manage Profiles. Select + to create a new profile. Turn on the Kids Profile. Turn on the Kids Profile Toggle. Change the default content rating. Select Save.
You can only change your profile's rating setting on the Discovery= website.

Does it still play 15 or 18 rated programmes on a kid's profile?

Yes and no
You can set the age restriction to 15 and below so it plays 15 programmes, but there is no option to play 18 rated shows (unless im missing something) so really marking this subject as answered is not right whoever did it.
What has been mentioned is a workaround to some extent but it does not fix the initial problem.

I agree 100%. It's just a workaround not a fix.

Thanks, adding the kids profile worked for me.

This answer fixed the issue

But then 20mins later it came back **bleep**
16 Oct 2024 06:40 PM
So I went into Account settings and cookies/ad choices and declined all and it's gotten rid of the persistent age rating banner

Unfortunately it's not worked for me. Followed the instructions and it worked until the first break then came back again.

Well it worked for the first part then after the ads finished it came back. The black shading on top of the screen I find most annoying so ... Sky sort this Rubbish out ASAP

As the author of this topic i have asked via the report function if someone will unmark this problem as being answered but as of yet it has been left as "answered" , but what has been posted is not the answer at all.At best it is a partial workaround to some degree.
However.....
1) It restricts any viewing of anything over 15 content
2) It clearly isnt working anyway for some people as we can see by those that are posting after trying it
3) The issue is still there and no solution has been found
4) You know the issues still persists as has been highlighted in another new post elsewhere on the forum and pointing them to this thread and telling them to get in touch with discovery plus so you know the issue still exists
(although we have been in touch with them and they have done nothing about it and have been totally unhelpful)
So why is it marked as being answered?
Please remove the answered status thank you

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI marked it as answered because more than one person said it had worked with none of the problems you just listed. I'll un-mark it.

Thank you @Chodley much appreciated
Also if it is not a sky issue,(which i dont think it is because it seems it was a recent discovery app update that broke it) i would urge as many people as possible to keep contacting discoveryplus and maybe one of us might finally get some sense out of them and they will get it fixed
