hi @Ian47
I iimagine that space used by deleted items is flagged as availble to use and space may be fragmented use so even if a small part of a recoding is used it is no longer available for recovery just like on a computer
Thus , as I say, the fact that you have deleted them will mark that space as available to use
If you want to keep the recordings then you may need to recover(undelete) them sooner
I would imageine most people will recover deleted entries within a day or so of deleting them

Well something new is happening coz I've had stuff on there like concerts for up to 2 years an never had this happen before, as I said only 25% was used so loads of space to fill up before it should start deleting the oldest stuff, thanks anyway

@Ian47 if it was programmes downloaded from catch up perhaps Skys right have expired and the programmes have been removed due to this.

(As noted it's likely to be fragmentation over time that's triggered the 'change')

The reason i delete some stuff I wasn't intending to watch for a while is because we have so much on the main planner it was easier to use delete section as a second planner, anyway thanks for all replies if it sorts itself il let you all know cheers
