DPD box swap left me without power - anyone know the pinouts?

So DPD insisted I had to give them the old box otherwise they wouldn't give me the new box. I unpacked it on the door step and it even has a label and instructions to take it to the post office!
Anyway, grabbed my viewing card and unplugged the Sky Q box and swapped over the boxes.
DPD then ran.
However the power supply for the new box is totally different and now I'm stuck without a working box at all!

Does anyone have the pinouts for the power cable though? I have enough bench supplies and pins to build a temporary supply - but can't find any information on the pinouts in any forum.

Sky can't issue a new replacement box until they have details of the old one being returned - so I guess that won't happen for a while.
Anyway - crazy system. When replacing the routers it's up to you to send the old box back. Heck in the email they say you have 60 days to send the old box back not 60 seconds!

We do try to warn people about this. It's a joke that Sky don't warn you in the emails about it and don't tell dpd to warn people either.

I assume you have a box which requires the external transformer brick now?

I managed to power up the new box and shoved bare cable ends into the power socket using my bench power supply so at least have it running. No idea what the other 3 pins are for though?!

I think I have another box swap sorted now, and will know exactly what to do now.
The fact Sky don't tell you what to expect in advance is a joke and clearly been going on for a long time so they can't even hide behind this being a new process.

The v2 box power supply was designed to support built-in Powerline networking through an external mains transformer (which is quite a neat technical trick ; )

Q Powerline was never officially activated and got dropped entirely from firmware before the next hardware release which moved the transformer back inside the enclosure.

Aha that makes sense. Cool, I won't worry about them then and quicky 3D print a plug until the next box swap comes

Re: DPD box swap left me without power - anyone know the pinouts?

Bit easier than that. Says it on the transformer so advertised on eBay auctions.

12.25V but more importantly needs 3.75A.

Then thankfully the +ve / -ve terminals are indicated on the back of the Q box.

Standard solid 13A 1.5mm2 cable seems to work well for the power pins and with a choc-block was easy enough to create a little plug which holds solid.

Thankfully I'm a geek haha
