As per title. Tried over two days now. Hubby tried pressing red light a few times and loud beeping noises filled the room.

Sorted. Lead into the back of the tv had come loose 🙈.

@SkyQer the centre red light indicates the box is recording some people have reported theirs stays on permanently and the only options were to replace the box or leave it as it is.
You could try resetting the settings in the Q boxes hidden menu.
To enter the hidden menu press the home button and scroll down to settings but do not select settings.
With settings highlighted press 0 0 1 then select
Only Carry out the first Reset being Reset Settings as the others will wipe all recordings.
After the reset you will have to re-pair your remote assuming you are using a bluetooth remote by pressing 1 and 3 together on the remote
Pressing where the red light is ie the middle of the Q symbol sets the find the remote feature where a signal is sent to the remote to set it off beeping so you can find it if you have misplaced it

Thank you, we now know what the beeping was!
The remote won't do anything, no response at all except toggle between green and amber standby light so not sure how to bring up the settings when the home button won't work.

Thank you. I worded it badly, the remote works but the box doesn't respond, only changes the on/off standby light go green or amber.
