Connection to Qbox in the morning the tv needs to be tuned but not through the day

When I switch on my smart tv and the Sky Q box in the morning I need to search for Sky to connect. Through the day the tv recognises SKY immediately I use my Sky box for all my programmes

Is the television trying to tune into digital terrestrial channels?

If so, that can usually be disabled using the television remote control.

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Assume both your TV and Q box had been put into Standby (with Amber led) and not turned off at the mains.

Yes both switched off. Same as through the day
